Avantgarde HK Limited takes the health and safety of our staff and clients seriously. We follow the highest standards, which include controlling the health and safety risks arising from our company activities to prevent accidents and work-related illness.
The policies contribute to all aspects of business performance. Avantgarde HK Limited is committed to provide a healthy and safe environment for our staff and guests. We have set out effective Health and Safety, and Environmental policies to comply with all applicable legal statutes and regulations, and to adopt the best practices in health and safety in our workplace in order to be as free as possible from known and hidden dangers or hazards.
An effective management structure and arrangements are in place for delivering the policies. All staff of Avantgarde HK Limited are encouraged and empowered to work safely, to protect their long-term health, to prevent the occurrence of accidents and injuries, and to protect the environment where we are living. All staff are responsible for safety rules and procedures, equipment and facilities, as well as training and education. They should follow the necessary safety precautions and procedures, and become familiar with the appropriate execution of their job duties. The arrangements are underpinned by effective staff involvement and participation, and sustained by effective communication and the promotion of competence, which allows all employees and their representatives to make a responsible and informed contribution to the Safety, Health and Environmental effort.
Planning and Implementation
Avantgarde HK Limited has set a planned and systematic approach to implement the Safety, Health and Environmental policies so as to minimize risks and poor practice. Successful implementation would ensure maintenance and awareness of safety standards, sustained safety performance and be beneficial for our company, the staff and our clients. Risk assessment methods are used to decide on priorities, and to set objectives for eliminating hazards and risks. Where risks cannot be eliminated, they are minimized and controlled through the use of physical controls, systems of work and personal protective equipment. We identify specific actions to promote a positive Health and Safety culture and safe working systems include the best practice for achieving high environmental standards.
Performance is measured against agreed standards to reveal when and where improvement is needed. The objectives are to determine the immediate causes of sub-standard performance, and to identify the underlying causes and its implications on the management systems.
Active self-monitoring reveals bow effectively the management systems are functioning. This looks at both hardware (premises, plant and substances), and software (people, procedures and systems), including individual performance and behavior. Reactive monitoring discovers why controls fail, by investigating accidents, incidents and ill health.
Auditing And Reviewing Performance
Avantgarde HK Limited learns from all relevant experience, and applies the lessons learnt. There is a systematic review of performance based on data from monitoring, and audits of the whole SHE management systems. These form the basis of self-regulation, and of compliance with the Occupational Safety and Health ordinance, Chapter 509, and other relevant statutory provisions. There is a strong commitment to continuous improvement involving the constant development of policies, systems and techniques of risk control.
